April 2020 Competition

Welcome to this month’s challenge.

Your mission is to come up with a creative piece of writing up to 300 words in length, and incorporate the three nouns below.

Closing date for entries is April 30th.

The 3 nouns picked at random from the noun project this month are throne, hydrogen and dominoes. These were chosen at random by Sam from his book “Heroes of Olympus”, by Rick Riordan.

Poems, limericks, and stories of all kinds are acceptable. There are no age restrictions. The aim is to get your creative juices flowing. Have a look at a selection of entries from March 2020, to see what people did with the 3 nouns crab, fossil and ironing board.

This month’s prize is, once again, a 20 Euro Voucher for any independent bookshop in Ireland.  As a family, we feel strongly about supporting local bookshops and businesses and are funding the monthly prizes ourselves.
